Hannah Fredericksen is building an impressive portfolio of leading lady credits across both stage and screen. She is a graduate of The Victorian College of the Arts, Bachelor of Music Theatre.
Hannah originated the role of Sandra Dee and starred opposite David Campbell in the world premiere of ‘Dreamlover – The Bobby Darin Musical’ in Sydney, for which she received a Sydney Theatre Award nomination and reprised her role in it’s highly successful return season in Melbourne. Following this, Hannah performed alongside David Campbell once again as Lynette Squeaky Fromme in the critically acclaimed production of Stephen Sondheim’s ‘Assassin’s’ at both the Hayes Theatre and Sydney Opera House.
Hannah’s other leading musical theatre credits include; Heather Duke in ‘Heather’s – The Musical’ based on the cult 80’s film for the Arts Centre Playhouse and Sydney Opera House, Mallory/Avril in Life Like Company’s Green Room Nominated production of ‘City of Angels and Kate Kelly in ‘Ned – A New Australian Musical’. Her theatre roles include; Cecily Cardew in ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ (Citizen Theatre), Elizabeth in David Williamson’s ‘Third World Blues’ (Company Eleven) and Olivia in ‘Twelfth Night' (Carving Theatre Co.). Most recently, Hannah performed as Sofia in 'Dance Nation' and Amy in 'Oil' at Red Stitch Ensemble Theatre and finished her 3.5 year run as a closing company member in Australia's longest running play, 'Harry Potter & The Cursed Child ' (MCG) as Moaning Myrtle.
Hannah made her feature film debut starring opposite David Wenham and Jacqueline McKenzie in the late director Paul Cox’s final feature film ‘Force of Destiny’, which opened the Melbourne International Film Festival and screened at festivals across the world. Hannah also stars as Miranda in the short film ‘Paynes Find’ which was recently awarded ‘Best Short Film’ at the Crossover Flim Festival in Virginia and has also been selected to screen at festivals worldwide.
Hannah expansive television work includes; ABC’s ‘The Divorce’, Lilly in Network Ten’s ‘Offspring’, Mia in the recent TV Pilot ‘Holy Crap’ and the role of Olivia Newton-John in the Seven Network’s AACTA and Logie award winning mini-series ‘Molly’. Hannah also played the role of Robyn Leneham in Network Ten’s mini-series revival of Australian cult classic ‘Wake in Fright’. Hannah’s international TV credits include the role of Jessie Slavich in Matchbox Picture’s series ‘Hunters’ for the US SyFy Network. Recently, Hannah joined the cast of 'Playing For Keeps' on Network Ten as Bianca and played Mandy Hodson in 'Informer 3838' for Screentime on Channel 9.
